Petite, Pint-sized, Baby Peplums!!

Yesterday was a particularly sunny day in Florida, and Lucy and I LOVE to soak up the Florida sun! I found a great vintage handkerchief a while ago and I just had to have it because of the bright colors, I just could never find the right thing for Lucy to wear with it besides a white romper, and then.... I went to an estate sale and found this fabulous PRINTED LINEN!!! Ahhh!! I had to have it, and at $2 for like 5 yards it was a steal! I finally decided yesterday what I was going to make with it- a pint-sized baby peplum top!! It was incredibly simple, I just took a bodice and skirt pattern that I already had on hand , sewed the bodice like normal, and then cut the skirt wayyyyy short, and instead of basting stitches to fit the skirt to the bodice, I did some pleats, along with a small pleat at the neckline to fit it a little more to her body (she is as skinny as a rail, just like her daddy!)- so without further ado, here's the ootd!!

Headband- vintage handkerchief
Top- handsewn peplum
Pants- Target
Shoes- Rocawear ballet flats- which are sooooo great because they actually STAY ON her feet and she can't rip them off- plus they're really feminine and sweet!

Birthday Throwback

Today I also wanted to do a throwback to Lucy's birthday outfit last month (before this lovely blog was started ) it is one of my favorite outfits I have gotten her and is so perfectly FABULOUS and spunky  just like her!!
The headband is from Austenlandgirl, a cute little etsy shop owner who make HUGE, beautiful floral headbands and hats for babes
The outfit is from Bellethreads, who I found through instagram, she is a one woman show, and makes the most beautiful rompers I have ever seen! She now has fourth of July rompers and a Disney Princess themed collection!!

Lucy also spent her birthday at Disney - her favorite place in the world! Her floral crown is from Target (my personal happy place!) and her outfit was ordered from Aliexpress.com, where you can order items from Asia and they are guaranteed to actually get to you!

Her birthday was such a fun day, I still can't believe my precious girl is 1 year old! It's an adventure and worth every second!!

Animal Kingdom

Ok, so had to take a little break there, we had some family in town and yesterday we were able to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom- it was soo fun! Lucy had a great time and rocked the jungle style in the following outfit:

Headband: Little Happy Campers
Dress: Homemade using a  shwin and shwin pattern
Shoes: Django moccasins- let me just RAVE about these for a minute- they are the cutest moccs out there! and sooo comfortable for baby feet ! All leather lace-up shoes that stay put and wear really well, plus you get so many people asking where you got them! They are made on the island of Boracay in the Philippines and are so beautiful!

Bald Beauties

Alright, so todays post goes out to all those bald beauties out there, bald babies that is! My husbands' family all have thin hair, like the finest hair ever! My family is the exact opposite, I mean, I had practically an afro when I was Lucy's age and she has just barely some peach fuzz beginning to form, but we love her just the same and she totally rocks it!! So when I saw this shirt from Posh Kiddos, I HAD to have it!!! It just perfectly described her :)
Her outfit of the day is:

Headband- again from Little Happy Campers--we have an obsession :)
Shirt- Posh Kiddos
Shorts- Cherokee brand from Target, super cute floral pattern- you can't tell from the way she's sitting :)
Sandals- Carters- from their website

That's all folks!!!

New Blog, Just for fun!

Hi! In this introductory post, I'd like to introduce myself, and my daughter, Lucy Linda- who is the subject of this blog. I'm a new mom on a new adventure living in Florida with my wonderful husband and our one and only baby girl Lucy, who just turned one last month. I'm a stay at home momma and proud of it!  This past year has flown by and I have taken many pictures of this little girl who lights up our lives with her winning smile and bright eyes. We both wanted and prayed for a girl and I was delighted when we found out the gender! Girls are so fun to dress right?? :) Anyways, so this blog is to display some of the photos I take of Lucy and her outfits and the shops I get them from! Fun stuff right?? I also love to sew (at a beginners' level lol) and so some of my sewing will make it on here too, with a shout out to who I get the patterns from of course!! Alright, so day 1, here we go!!:

Little miss Lucy and I were enjoying the Florida sunshine today and she wore the following:
Pineapple headwrap from Little Happy Campers- a wonderful little shop we found on Instagram, the gal who makes these is super friendly and has seriously the CUTEST headwraps, because what bald baby girl doesn't need like 20 headwraps??!

Her dress is hand sewn from  the color block dress pattern (obviously not color blocked here) from the Shwin and Shwin blog- its a wonderful blog and this just happens to be a free pattern! She posts free patterns from time to time and has seriously the cutest designs and styling! As a side note, gingham is so hot right now and I'm loving it!!!

And lastly, JELLIES!!! Omg if it were socially acceptable, I'd be wearing them!! Her Jellies are from Baby Gap, and we bought 2 colors, coral and yellow, but they have lots and they are so perfect for spring and summer!!!
